Everyday of quarantine and social distancing is rough. Especially when you want to stay home as much as possible and take precautions, it is easy to fall into a rut or feel “blah” about yourself.
Self-care is the best ways to make yourself feel good at home, and at the same time you are working on yourself and building towards a better us.
Let’s face it. We have gotten used to a world where we were just free to go wherever we wanted, without any limits or fears, but now we are in a new “normal” and we have to find different ways to still take care of ourselves and have a balance of both.
Below is a list of things you can do at home during quarantine that promote self-care goals.
1.Get dressed and do your makeup
Get up get dressed. Do your makeup and then cook late brunch in it. You don’t have to do it everyday. It’s been a long time since we have all gotten dressed up for a wild night out. lol . Maybe through in a selfie session in the make-up. This is my favorite lipstick from Revlon. The color just gives you that pop to sit in your living room.
Sitting in the bath and listening to some mediating, calming songs, a rain storm is so relaxing. Close your eyes and relax. Do not think about anything. Don’t scroll social media. Maybe pop in an audible but just be one with yourself. All the negativity happening in the world can cloud your thinking and forget to thinking what is personally happening within you that maybe good. 3. At Home Spa Day
Invest in a foot spa. This foot spa is amazing. It has 3 jet sessions and it’s pretty easy to store if you don’t have a lot of spa. Mine fits perfectly in the closet. If you want to add bubbles to it only do a little bit because the spa does produce its own bubbles.
4.At home mani and pedi.
Remember the simpler days when we used to paint our own nails and get excited about doing our own little unique designs? I know my nail polish skills have decreased, so this is a perfect way to get creative and have you look cute. This Opi Nail Polish is just calling my name.
5.Write ! Draw, Paint., Create !
What do you like to do? We spend so much time on Netflix and Social Media. Do something creative that will make you feel good about yourself. I love writing in a journal, or draw or painting. YouTube has so many videos where you can follow an artists and paint your own photo. This youtube playlist has so many different paintings that you can make and it takes you step by step.
Not matter what you have to do. Taking at least a day every week to cater to your self-care needs. Even if self-care for you is sitting on the couch and just relaxing your body. Add a little wine in there and your set. 😉
