Let’s face it. Sometimes we need those couple of minutes for ourselves, to breathe, think, take a meeting, wash the dishes, and the good ol iPad is there for us.
I know I feel guilty for the hours of videos that kids are watching now that we are in quarantine, but there are many YouTube channels that are educational and can help your child learn more and continue to develop especially if they aren’t in school right now..
Below are 5 Educational YouTube Channels you can watch with your child that help them learn while also having fun.
1. Blippi : His videos teach about reading, writing, math, colors, shapes, while integrating virtual field trips to fun places like amusement parks, arcades, aquariums, and more fun an engaging places that kids love and can learn from. Children have a chance to learn about animals and new topics they may be interested in.
2.Bri Reads: For fun engaging read alouds and arts and crafts check out Bri Reads. She is so child friendly and so fun to learn from. I have even recommended Bri Reads to older children that are struggling with reading, so they can have opportunity to listen to stories being read out loud.
3.Pocket PreSchool: If your child loves nursery rhymes and learning from songs and play. This is the perfect channel for your child.
4.PreSchool Prep Company– I love preschool prep. It has everything from learning letters, numbers, learning to add, multiply, subtract, sight words, even videos in Spanish. The videos are very interactive and child friendly.
5. Songs For Littles – Toddler Learning Videos: Songs for Littles is an amazing channel where children have interactive screen time with real teachers. This channel integrates music, acting, dress up, even sign language and speech support for toddlers. Many of the lessons are shot in a classroom like environment which is very engaging for children especially if they are in school, and more importantly if they are going to be going back to school soon. Check out the playlist for yourself.
