It used to be “us”
Now it’s just “me”
Piecing back the remaining puzzle pieces
I can’t seem to find the right fit
To complete the picture of us
The one where we live
Happily ever after
But our photo was never meant to be finished
There was always a side of you
I never knew
Corners I never touched
Or could ever imagine
As I close my eyes ,
I try to visualize
The unknowns that have kept us apart
Like I can’t handle to see the truth
With my heart I know what’s real
But when it comes to us
I have tunnel vision
I only see the end of us
I only see what never worked
I only see how you quit
& left me
A lone player
Putting together a puzzle
That was meant to be completed by two.
I love the play of A lone – alone. Beautiful images too!
heartbreaking, powerful, and so well said
Very deep and raw. Keep up the amazing work!
