Poem: Burning Our Bridges by Jules 🌉

Here we go again

Down this road

Feels so new

But it’s really the same place

That brought us close

And watched our love burn to ashes

But we haven’t learned our lesson

We picked up the remains

And worshiped them like they

Ever made us feel alive for more than a second

Shame on us. Shame on me. Shame on you.

We keep lighting this flame time after time

But it burns out right before we open our eyes

The fantasy . To feel . To grow. To want. To desire.

The need to be something that we were never meant to be.

Let’s quit while we are ahead because we burning more bridges than we were ever meant to cross.
